Software Developer

Position Summary:

We are looking for a full time Software Developer to join our growing team immediately. If you have expert Javascript & PHP skills, enjoy fun work environments, and interested in honing your craft by building the Commerce of the future we might have the job for you!

Responsibilities:

Software Developers are primarily responsible for developing new apps, internal tools, maintaining and enhancing existing apps, as well as custom web development that is changing the way products are bought and sold. We ship on quality instead of on time. The ideal candidate will be able to manage an entire project, from concept to delivery with a strong commitment towards quality and team work. As a small but growing company you are able to take vague business requirements and take ownership of projects to achieve business requirements. The ideal candidate will have a constant eye for improvement to make our code base better or leaner.

Required Skills:

  • Expert PHP & Javascript Skills
  • HTML/CSS experience
  • Basic understanding of web security (SQL injection & XSS)
  • Ability to construct complex SQL statements and a familiarity with MySQL
  • Extremely comfortable working with Restful APIs
  • Familiarity with Git and JIRA
  • Deep understanding of Cloud Computing concepts, experience with GCP a large asset.
  • Ability to work well individually without supervision, as well as closely with a team
  • Willingness to thrive, impress and grow with the company
  • Good sense of humour & communication skills
  • Post secondary education in web development or equivalent work experience
